KRIS EMPTING-OBENLAND

Born in 1958 in Kiel she is a trained fashion designer and proud mother of four grown ups today.
She has always been creative in different disciplines such as sewing, knitting, painting, wood work, or tile mosaic.
Beading started already at school: In the 70s colorful strung necklaces were a must-have! In the 80s she ran courses for peyote bangles. Both the new century and the upcoming internet provided her with lots of inspiration - mostly from the US - about beadweaving art. Seed beads became her passion. In 2010 she opened her Etsy shop. Ever since she calls herself a bead addict...
Her work has been published in several magazines, blogs and books.
